Meet the Mom With a Mission

Owner, director, wife, and mom Constance Sholar Cherry has 16 years of experience and a lifetime passion for working with children.

After working for 9 years at a child care center, she chose to fulfill her purpose and launched Creative Home Academy in 2007. She earned her degree in Social Work and Nonprofit Management and a Certification in American Humanics in December 2009, and her Child Development Associate Certificate in April 2010. She achieved accreditation from the National Association of Family Child Care in May 2011, and maintained the accreditation status for 7 years.

Constance became a TOPSTAR mentor to other family childcare providers in 2018, was invited to teach at the Family Childcare State Conference in 2019, and continues to teach among her peers. She’s a professional member of the Childcare Success Academy, is currently working towards her Master’s in Early Childhood Education, and takes pride in offering industry-leading services in her field.
